Mary Ryan Buddig 77 is being honored for her community service and her involvement at Hinsdale Central. Her class is celebrating their 35th reunion this year. Mary is a real estate attorney. She attended St. Mary's College and then graduated from Loyola Law School in 1984. She and her husband Robert Buddig have lived in Hinsdale since 1991. She and Bob are very proud of their five children who graduated from Hinsdale Central: Sarah '06, Jenny '07, Erin '09, Margaret '10 and Bobby '12.

Mary has been involved with the Hinsdale Central PTO since 2002 on various committees. She served as President of the PTO from 2008 through the spring of 2011. She has been involved with Boosters, Hinsdale Central Football Club, 24 Hour Relay, Teachers In Need, Senior Picnic, Senior Prom Committee and many other aspects of Hinsdale Central. She helped coordinate the football program for the 2011 and 2012 football season. In addition, she was honored to give the commencement address in May of 2009.

She was also on the steering committee for the long-range planning for Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South and is currently serving on the PTO Special Education Parent Network as well as the Interview Skills Workshop Committee.

In addition to her involvement with Hinsdale Central, she is on the Women's Board for Misericordia and chaired their major fundraiser with her sisters in 2008; she is a member of the Adventist Hinsdale Hospital Foundation Board and Chair of the Hinsdale Assembly Board for 2012 and 2013. She has been involved with Young Life since she graduated from law school and currently serves on the Parent committee. She also was a parent coordinator for the Hinsdale Hospital Junior Board for 7 years.

In addition, she has been involved at St. Isaac Jogues Church and was very active at St. Isaac School for 15 years while her children were there. She also served on the Robert Crown Women's Board as well as the Wellness House Women's Board.
