Hinsdale Central High School

Wills

The most common type of planned gift is a provision in your will. This way of giving is easy to arrange, revocable, and can be accomplished in several ways.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Make a specific bequest to leave securities, real property, or cash to the Hinsdale Central Foundation.
  • Leave all or part of your estate
  • Name Hinsdale Central Foundation in a contingent bequest to take effect only if your primary beneficiaries are not able to receive their bequests.

Charitable bequests are currently deductible for estate tax purposes and may significantly reduce taxes assessed against your estate. You are welcome to indicate a reasonable purpose for your gift, though you may want to designate your bequest as unrestricted. The Hinsdale Central Foundation will then use your gift where needed most.

Examples:

Unrestricted Request
I give and bequeath to the Hinsdale Central Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, ____________ (describe asset) to be used as the Foundation may direct.

Restricted Request
