Inductee Year 2022
Kerstin Regnery
Kerstin Regnery (nee Ronning) was born at Hinsdale Hospital and grew up in Burr Ridge, IL. She is the oldest daughter of J. David and Kerry Ronning, now of Clarendon Hills, IL. Kerstin attended Elm Elementary School, Hinsdale Middle School and then graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1998. She attended the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio and graduated in 2002 with a major in Marketing and Management Information Systems (MIS). She was actively involved in Flyer Enterprises, a student run organization at the University of Dayton supported by The School of Business, serving as VP of Accounting at The Blend and leading the 2 year project of opening The Blend Express from 2001-2002.

After graduating from Dayton, Kerstin became quickly involved with Radiation Oncology Consultants (ROC), a budding private practice comprised of board-certified radiation oncology physicians. In 2002, she started as the assistant to the Business Manager before assuming her position as the Business Manager in 2005. Under her leadership, ROC has grown to be one of the largest radiation oncology practices in the country, comprised of 27 physicians and 5 advanced practice clinicians. ROC practices at 12 community-based hospital cancer centers and 4 specialty cancer centers in the Chicagoland area, offering all advanced radiation therapy cancer treatment options. Due to this growth and reorganization of the company, she was named Executive Director of ROC in early 2022.

Kerstin has been actively involved in the community since her family moved to Hinsdale. In 2014, she helped develop the Associates Board, a branch of the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation. The focus of this group was to host 3-4 family friendly events in town to raise money and create awareness for the new cancer institute opening later that year. She later was asked to join the Wellness House Board in June of 2015. She served a six year term, chaired the programs committee for three of those years and co-hosted the Wellness House Ball in October 2020, raising 425K amidst a pandemic. In 2021, Kerstin and her daughter, Peyton, were invited to join the National Charity League (NCL) Chapter of Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills. This chapter is a group of mothers and teenage daughters who have come together in a community to provide community service, develop leadership and experience cultures. Together with her daughter, Kerstin volunteers her time to several local philanthropies through the year.

Kerstin married Geoff Regnery, also a native of Hinsdale and ’97 graduate of Hinsdale Central, in 2007. After living together in Chicago for a few years, they moved back to Hinsdale in 2010. Together, they have three children, Peyton (13), Riley (11) and Logan (8). Kerstin volunteers her time at her children’s school, has fulfilled the role of “coach” for many soccer and softball teams over the years and spends her leisure time traveling, golfing and playing racquet sports.
