Dr. Robert O. Maganini graduated from Hinsdale Central in 1978 where he was a member of the Hinsdale Gymnastics State Finalist team. He then attended Stanford University, competing in NCCA gymnastics and graduating in 1982, after which he attended Rush Medical College in Chicago. Today he is a widely respected surgeon and breast cancer specialist at the AMITA Health System in Bartlett, Illinois. Over the past several years, Dr. Bob has been recognized for his compassionate care, clinical research, and a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary team approach to the care of people with breast cancer. He has actively participated on the board of several cancer related non-profit organizations including the American Cancer Society, the Tri-City Health Partnership, Susan G. Women, and the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force. He is also an avid cyclist, who has participated in several cross-country treks to raise money for cancer research and awareness, including a recent 2,499 mile ride from Los Angeles to Chicago along historic Route 66. Bob makes his home in South Elgin Illinois with his wife Robin Roberts. |
