Frank was an outstanding student at Hinsdale Central, where he was a member of two Illinois State Championship Swimming Teams in 1977 and 1978. After high school, Frank attended the University of Chicago, earning his B.S. in Chemistry, followed by a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Illinois. He also earned an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1986. Frank began his career in Chicago with National Starch and Chemical Corporation in 1984 as a technical Service Chemist, and in 1987 Founded and served as Chief Operating Officer for Apex Adhesives in Franklin Park. Frank has held several senior positions with international chemical companies over the years, including a stint with Rohm and Haas in Paris, France, and Englehard Corporation in New Jersey. When Englehard was acquired by BASF Corporation in 2006, Frank held various management positions, eventually holding the title of President of the BASF Catalysts Division until 2013. Today, Frank is the President and CEO of SI Group, a large multi-national chemical company based in Schenectady, NY, and since 2016 has served on the Board of OGE Energy Corp in Oklahoma City. Frank is also an inventor, holding ten separate U.S. and international patents related to adhesives and precious metal recycling technologies. Frank and his wife, Amy, makes their home in Niskayuna, NY, where they are active in leadership roles at several local charities. |
