| J. Scott Spiker is a 1973 graduate of Hinsdale Central High School. Scott is a 1977 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Engineering. He was commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Navy; he served as a Surface Warfare Officer onboard a frigate. He later became Head of Enlisted Recruiting for the Midwest Region. Following his military service, he earned an MBA in Marketing/Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Scott served in several senior executive roles in the investment, insurance and banking industries, specializing in financial planning, investment management and culture transformation. His past executive position was at First Command Financial Services as Chief Executive Officer and later becoming Bank Chairman of the Board. In 2020, he retired as CEO, but continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board of First Command Bank. Scott is also actively involved in his community, serving on several non-profits and organizations boards. Scott Spiker has dedicated his life to using his skillset to successfully transform companies and non-profit organizations so they better serve their clients and communities. He has shown deep concern for others making a positive difference wherever he is and continues to do so. Scott Spiker is an outstanding individual and we are proud that he exemplifies the values and traditions of Hinsdale Central High School. |
