Jim Flynn had one of finest and most diverse athletic careers ever achieved at Hinsdale Central. In football, he was an All-Conference quarterback and team captain. In basketball, he earned All-State recognition and broke several scoring records, leading the Red Devils to an Elite 8 appearance at the state tournament. As captain of the baseball team, Jim was an All-Conference pitcher and infielder, and was awarded an athletic scholarship to the University of Denver, which he attended until an injury ended his athletic career. He was also elected officer of his graduating class, the Class of 1972. A graduate of Miami University, and Chicago Kent College of Law, Jim is a real estate attorney and member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage Bar Association and the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. Jim has served as a volunteer for several local organizations including the Community House and the Hinsdale Historical Society, as well as serving as President of the Hinsdale Central High School Foundation. Jim and his wife, Karin, who is also an attorney, have been married for 28 years with two sons: Kevin, a recent graduate of the University of Montana, and Patrick, a student in his final year at University of Iowa. The Flynn’s make their home in Hinsdale. |
