Rev. Dr. Borsch is a 1953 graduate of Hinsdale Township High School. He received his undergraduate degree in 1957 from Princeton, his Master’s degree from Oxford University in 1963 and his Ph.D. from University of Birmingham (England) in 1966. In 1960, he married Barbara Edgeley Sampson. They have three sons – Benjamin, Matthew and Stuart. Rev. Dr. Borsch began his ministry in 1960 at Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park. He retired in 2002 from active ministry as Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles. Today, he is Professor of Anglican Studies at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and Adjunct Professor of Religion at the University of Southern California. From 1998-2002, he was a trustee of Princeton University. Rev. Dr. Borsch is a recipient of the Humanitarian Award from the National Conference for Community and Justice. Contributor of essays, articles, and poetry to a number of journals and newspapers, he is the author or editor of 17 books. |
