Stanley A. Walton III was a 1958 graduate of Hinsdale Central High School. While at Hinsdale Central he was a 4-year football starter, all conference, sophomore class president, VP Student Council, lead in the Senior Class Play (Mr. Banks from Father of the Bride). Walton attended Washington & Lee University where he received his BA in History and his LLB. Post graduation, he relocated back to Hinsdale where he invested his time not only with his career as an attorney, but also spending time as President of the Hinsdale Historical Society, served as Lawyer for the committee to preserve KLM from development, Hinsdale Village Trustee, Hinsdale Community Service board, President of the Nantucket Home Owners Association in Willowbrook, Hinsdale Central Foundation Board Member & Chairman of the Hall of Fame Committee and served a second term as President of the Hinsdale Historical Society. Walton helped to preserve and rehabilitate the 121-year-old Historical Immanuel Hall which is used by the Hinsdale Historical Society, Village Residents, and the public. Walton is survived by his wife, Karen Kayser Walton (HCHS 1958), and three children, two of whom were Hinsdale Central Graduates of 1986 and 1989. |
